camel into the eye of a needle

Published by ajwood at 1:45 am under religion Edit This

A famous scripture that most Christians have heard of is Matthew 19:24. In this scripture Jesus says, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” This does not suggest that we avoid trying to become successful, but that we just be weary of what we allow our success to do to us. People of high wealth tend to have a lot of pride. Pride can be a good thing, but too much of it can be dangerous. Pride caused Satan to rebel against God. When we have too much pride we turn away from God, feeling that we no longer need him. We forget God, the one who gave us the greatest gift of all: life. Always remember to thank God, during times of prosperity and times of trials. The closer we stay to God, the more blessings we can have. Pride is sometimes my biggest flaw, but by remembering this scripture we can recall the dangers of pride.
